If your child is bringing a packed lunch, please provide a healthy and balanced meal. Please find below, our ‘Healthy Eating Flyer,’ for ideas and inspiration. The flyer also includes information on allergies and it is important that this is read carefully, as we have children in school with severe allergies.
Most allergies and special diets can be catered for. If your child requires a tailored medical diet, you will be required to complete a digital application, so our kitchen staff can cater appropriately and our admin systems can be updated accordingly.

Could your child be eligible for Free School Meals?
In these difficult financial times, we want to make sure you are getting all the help that you are due.
A lot of people do not claim Free School Meals even though they are entitled. You do not need to worry about other children knowing your child gets Free School Meals. Only the school and catering staff will know.
You could save £550 a year for each child and your children could benefit from a good hot meal at lunchtime. The school will benefit too - they will get the Pupil Premium of £1480 a year from the government for each child on Free School Meals.
The government's school food plan provides funding for government-funded primary schools in England to offer a free lunch to every child in their reception classes, year 1 and year 2.
Your child may be able to get free school meals if you receive any of the following:
If your circumstances change and your earnings go above £7,400 net per annum (£616.67 per month), your child will no longer be eligible for free school meals. You will need to apply for them again if your income goes down.
To apply, go to www.derbyshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals and complete the form.
