We are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our pupils so they can learn in a secure atmosphere. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at our school. If bullying does occur, all pupils should be able to tell someone and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively.

We worked alongside the smart school council team who helped write an ‘Anti-bullying Policy for Children’ and this is revisited throughout the year.
When an allegation of bullying is made, a member of staff will investigate this and write down their findings on a recording form. These forms are retained by the headteacher so that patterns of behaviour can be identified and, if necessary, parents are contacted and relevant support or intervention put in place for both victims and perpetrators.
Importantly, we ask that if parents suspect bullying or unkind behaviour has taken place, that they contact school as soon as possible so staff can make the relevant enquiries.
Ladywood is a member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and all staff have access to further anti-bullying training.
